- ➤ Ames' CyRide transportation system was awarded a $14.6 million federal transit grant and will expand its facilities by moving 12 buses indoors, updating office and maintenance areas, and converting 20 buses to run on biodiesel—changes expected over the next five years to ease wear on older buses and support a renewable fuel program.
