Good morning, Ames. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 23rd of July.

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Illinois DNR and Iowa DNR are asking residents to record wild turkey sightings through August using an online portal—citizens should note the number of adult males, females and poults in areas like roadsides, parks and fields. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • U.S. District Judge Stephanie Rose temporarily blocked 11 parts of Iowa’s new law on pharmacy benefit managers for businesses named in a June lawsuit against the insurance commissioner.
