- ➤ Iowa Falls native Cpl. Melvin Huff died in 1945 when his plane went missing in Papua New Guinea, and his remains were returned Thursday night from a flight out of Dallas. His remains will be escorted by Patriot Guard Riders and laid to rest today at 1 p.m. at Union Cemetery—flags are ordered at half-staff in his honor. KCCI
