Good morning, Ames.
A Nevada man—28-year-old Tanner Bandy—is charged with five counts of first-degree harassment and one count of stalking while in possession of a dangerous weapon after he repeatedly left voice messages that threatened a woman and said he would shoot many people at an Iowa State graduation; he is now held in the Story County Jail.
Sen. Chuck Grassley defended his recent town hall meetings where many Iowans pressed him on immigration and tariff issues—saying the talks help him hear their concerns.
